Job Opportunity: Vision Loss Advisors
Herts Vison Loss (HVL) is dedicated to empowering individuals affected by sight loss. We provide support, advice, and services that enhance independence and quality of life for visually impaired individuals in our community.
Role Overview: We are currently recruiting two Vision Loss Advisors to join our dynamic team. As a Vision Loss Advisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored support and guidance to individuals experiencing sight loss, helping them to navigate daily challenges and improve their overall well-being.
Location: Welwyn Garden City office based, but travelling to home visits elsewhere in Hertfordshire as required. Driving license and own vehicle required, travel miles reimbursed.
Pay Rate: £13.50/hr.
Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide one-on-one advice and support to individuals with vision loss.
· Conduct needs assessments and develop personalised action plans.
· Offer guidance on available resources, assistive technologies, and services.
· Collaborate with local organisations and service providers to ensure comprehensive support.
· Maintain accurate records and reports on client progress and outcomes.

Volunteering Roles:
Herts Vision Loss aims to achieve positive change through supporting visually impaired community in Hertfordshire by providing training, education, care, and support. Many people find volunteering is a good step towards paid work, if you are interested in volunteering with us please get in touch. We are always looking for active volunteers for a variety of part time roles.
