Marking three years since the launch of the strategy\, this will be an opportunity for residents and professionals to come together and discuss the issues facing those with a sensory need. \n\n\n\nOur message is “The power of now; now is the time to act on sensory needs”. Since the strategy first launched\, the landscape has changed dramatically. Covid-19\, NHS reforms\, the passing of the BSL Act; the situation faced by staff and residents is now very different. The conference will be a chance to reflect on these changes\, the progress of the strategy so far\, and the future priorities of the Sensory Strategy. \n\n\n\nThe morning will feature updates on our progress in tackling sensory inequalities\, as well as guest speakers from National Charities. The afternoon will be workshop based\, with time to look at the priorities for 2023. We are keen to involve residents in the strategy\, and the ideas from these workshops will help shape our future work. Lunch and refreshments will also be provided. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur conference speakers will include: \n\n\n\n•David Clark – Chief Operating Officer\, Royal National Institute for Blind People (RNIB) \n\n\n\n•Abigail Gorman – Policy & Public Affairs Manager\, SignHealth \n\n\n\n•Clark Mullen – Communicator Guide Service Manager\, and Deb O’Shea\, Intervenor Service manager\, SENSE
