Donations

As an independent local charity, we work hard to raise as much money as we can from a variety of sources. Donations are a vital source of income for us. We rely on annual donations to deliver and grow our range of services, and make them accessible to the growing number of Hertfordshire residents experiencing vision loss. Most of our funding comes from annual donations, with rest made up from a limited contribution from Hertfordshire County Council, funding grants we are able to win, and occasionally much appreciated legacy donations.

Are you able to support our work?

You can do this simply by sending us a donation, either individually or as a group. Many people are now asking family and friends to make a donation to Herts Vision Loss to mark an occasion like a special birthday or anniversary, or in lieu of flowers in memory of a loved one who has passed away.

Their are many different ways to donate; You could simply post us a cheque, postal order, or drop a donation in to us personally at The Woodside Centre, The Commons, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 4SE.

Regular Giving by Standing order

It is also possible to donate regularly through a standing order. If you wish to do this, we can let you have a standing order form so that this can be set up for however much you decide and how frequently (usually monthly or annually) and paid direct to the Society’s bank account. This may be allied, if you are a taxpayer, to gift aid to make your donation go even further.
